A suggestion to alleviate traffic congestion on William Street from Prospect Street till Jane St. Most of the day there's no traffic at all, but certain times there is massive traffic and big backups on that street. I think that what would relieve a lot of that, if there could would be on both ends of William Street, by Prospect and by James , dedicated right turning lanes, those turning right real could go at that intersection much quicker than those who are turning left or going straight.
Update: Two other calls came in making the same suggestion. It seems those right turning lanes are being requested by many drivers in that area. We will keep our readers posted on the progress.
took the words right out of my mouth, turning lanes on williams is a must. its unbelievable that people making left turns dont know on their own to stay all the way over to the left to let the people who need to turn right go, that is true on any road but especially on williams which is so wide it can easily facilitate a right turning lane
