We are receiving at least two calls a day complaining about the impassable 9th and  10th streets between Madison,Clifton and Lexington. Perhaps a traffic study can be conducted to decide that these streets need to be made one way streets. With the increased traffic, and recent injuries, people are very concerned for the safety of residents.  In case our committeemen are not paying attention to this post ,and the needs of the residents, let's try an experiment to see if we can get their attention.

EVERY COMMITTEEMAN IS A BIGGER THIEF THAN THE NEXT!!!!

Of course that is not true, we just wanted to get their attention. Now that we are sure they read this, we can be hope a solution will be found soon.

We need traffic lights on both and clifton. With thousansds of pedestrians crossing daily, hundreds of children, thousands of cars in all directions, not to mention lines of school busses. The sleepy crossing guard that's there for an hour a day is nowhere near enough.
I warn IT IS PIKUACH NEFESH!

first things first. delay seder start till 1030, so the pressure will be off and people won't be driving as madly to get there at 930. then get "brownies", remember them? our volunteer crossing guards in brooklyn. make it a work study job. then pave the parking lot. then put in meters on the streets. then...ach by then we will all be outta here.

I live on 10th St so I guess I am allowed to put my 2 cents in. Crossing guards during the busy times (8:30-10:15 am and 1:45-the last Cheder dismissal) work just fine. No need for lights that will drive us crazy at all hours of the day and night. If anyone has a problem driving across the intersection, let them make a right and take a slightly longer route instead of making eveyone behind them wait till forever.

As for the parking situation PLEASE make those streets one way so we can keep the parking on both sides of the street. I grew up in Brooklyn - we managed with one ways there. We can do it here again.

And, not that this has anything to do with the above problem - what is gonna be with the former little league field. The whole thing turned into a smelly mud pile. Not nice to look at anymore and can't park there anymore. What a shame! Someone's bright idea (and I do think it was an idea-to expand parking possibilities in the neighborhood) turned a pleasant stretch of grass into a terrible eyesore.
