Good Evening. I wanted to know what you think that we can do about 7th St, between Clifton, and Lexington Avenue. I don't see any reason why it has to be closed the whole day especially when it rains. They can have it closed in the morning or the evening when the buses come we have crossing guards. I'd greatly appreciate if something can be done about it.

The closing of Seventh Street has been a thorn in the side of all those commuting during the day towards the east side of town. It causes traffic since it closes a street that goes straight through to east end, as opposed to most other number streets. We were told the reason it is closed all day is in order to allow the Clifton Avenue Elementary students unhindered access to the park across the street all day. Now that there is so much more crosstown traffic perhaps the time has come to ask a teacher to pull the roadblock across before any recess, and remove it  afterward.

very good question, it always bothered me but didn't have a place to report it.

Thank You Lakewood View or whatever your name is now.

that eitzah wouldn't work. Motorists would still avoid the 7th street route beacause they do not know the recess schedule. I have been a long time advocate of giving more right of way to travelers of 6th street from private way to mary's lane, by putting up more lights or 4 way stop signs. This comes out close enough to 7th street and already matches up with the light on the top of the hill on madison.

On the topic of 4 way stop signs, we need a lot more of them, especially on private way. A driver on private way trying to cross 5th street cannot possibly see if its safe to cross until they are already far into the intersection

TEAR IT AWAY! The tax payers of Lakewood don't want it. That should be the end of it.

maybe you shouldn't have built a school without enough parking and proper space for all the school buses..... thank you planning board for passing this use.
