Dear Lakewood voters and readers of the Lakewood View,
I am Steve Morlino. I am running for the state senate for the 30th district against incumbent Bob Singer.
I recently watched a video on the Lakewood Scoop where Singer mentions that we received seven thousand dollars for our campaign from the teachers union. Of course I work as a school superintendant in New York and I believe that they trust that I would be fair with hard working dedicated teachers. Singer was accusing me of being bought by special interests.
I tried to respond what Singer and his Company have collected for this campiagn compared to us.

Yet Singer said he had never heard of so much money being collected. I sent in my response to the blatant lies that Singer stated. I asked how many people Singer needed to make promises to in order to make all that money. I asked where it will ultimately be spent. But the Lakewood Scoop would not print my response.
I just found out about this website through an email I received and asked the editor to print my article.
Thank you Lakewood View for allowing me to let the truth be told. Senator Singer has once again collected huge sums of money and now will need to give favors to all those donors. How much of that money is being used to pay off the Lakewood Scoop?

You have my vote!! I hope when you win you will avoid any dealings with this corrupt vaad and bmg. They are famous for backstabbing. When they endorsed Corzine and then Christie won- of course they went running to Christie explaining how they "really" endorsed him. Such fools!!!!!
I am voting for Steve,but who Singer marries is no ones business.It is impolite to bash family members.
I want to thank all of those voters who supported me. I will remain involved and wish the winners well. I hope and pray that they will represent all of the 30th district and also represent those with opposing viewpoints.

Lakewood scoop is a joke they are a mouth piece for the police dept and the vaad, you can read the scoop one day and know what it will say for the ext mounth. all they write about is cheif lawson, ribbon cuttings police this and police that. He never write any oped against the status quo its a shame because thats how the scoop got popular in the first place because he used to right about issue everyone cared about but then he sold his soul to the devil
Steve Morlino i did vote for you but i have to say as bad as singer is, i was concerned because the NRA rated you very low on your 2nd amendment positions. if you can come to realize that just as you understand we cant trust singer and other corrupt self serving politicians with our money why should we trust them for our security, every person has a right to self defense and the government has no right legislating our security. I have no problem having tough gun laws in N.J but not if they effect the Law abiding citizen and the criminal equally right now n.j law makes no distinction between a gang banger felon or a law abiding citizen both people if caught carrying a gun in both cases both people will get automatic 7 years, thats nuts and must be changed.
